Overview

We are looking for a compassionate, capable, and someonew with a sense of urgency to come on board as a Full-Time Utilization Coordinator to work at our corporate office in Long Beach, CA.

 

The Utilization Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of home care services to prospective clients with developmental disabilities. You will evaluate clients referred to our organization, identifying family needs and help services get started by our Staffing Team.

Responsibilities

  • Handling all incoming referrals: calls, emails and all authorizations received.
  • Enterting data into the central database
  • Collaborates with multilevel department personnel
  • Responsible for converting prospective clients into active clients
  • Responsible for transcribing detailed and accurate information into client database including but not limited to: demographics, authorization and client information
  • Work off reports provided by the Data Manager to evaluate if authorizations are maximized.
  • Follow-up with families, to make sure that they are fully maximizing their authorized hours.
    Follow up with preferred providers who have been inactive for some time, reminding them of available work, and upcoming deactivations if they do not work.
  • Communicates with client and family regarding arrangements of care/services
  • Works closely with Staffing Coordinating department to ensure start of care and that care providers have all the information they need to offer great service
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Must be able to multi-task, have an outgoing personality and work well in a team environment

Qualifications

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be friendly, professional, and cooperative with good aptitude for customer service and problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn new software applications
  • Ability to develop strong interoffice working relationships & possess community outreach skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and utilize clear, concise, and positive communication
  • Ability to differentiate between emergency & routine referrals
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • U.S. work authorization
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background check and reference check
